Nandi Hills
It was all impromptu. Nag suddenly came with the idea of getting away from Bangalore for a day. With the options we had, Nandi hills was promising. So we started on Sunday morning by 8:45am.
Pit stop -- Loads of fuel going in
The aversion to traffic snarls made us to take the outer ring road route to Hebbal, from there catch the NH7 to Yelahanka, Devanhalli and then take diversion to Nandhi Hills.
Outer ring road - suspension bridge
Second Pit stop - air pressure checkup
Drivers view of outer ring road
Hebbal Flyover
Yelahanka - Air base
We had a glimse of the air base as we pulled out of the road for a snap. There were a couple of planes (transporters) and copters.
So how much are we doing? 135kmph Huh... Did we beat Schumi
Nag was fit for the day and quenched his desire of high-speed driving. Most part of the drive we did 70-80 kmph. For a good strech of road we maxed out 120-135 kmph.
Boulders

Blooming Tree
Took this shot while we paseed through a bend. The first site was impressive as the tree was blooming with full of bright red flowers.

On Ghat Road -- a short respite
Entrance from where to where?
Yellow flower - Macro
View of Plains from Nandi hills
Full 3x optical zoom and max focus
Pink Flower - Macro
One of the few best shots that I have.
A more closer look
Decorated steps
All the steps of the building were nicely decorated with plants and flowers. The building was built by Brits as Nandi hills was their summer retreat.
Finally the Nandi
Dilapidated Gun
Steps to where?
I bet, you cannot get a colorful picture than this
Another decorated steps
Broad Leaves out of no where.
